Number Sense for ALL Learners!
Saturday, October 20, 2007 8:00 am - 9:00 am
In this session, participants will learn how all students can access number sense, the basic building block of mathematics. Special educators will see how students with mild through significant disabilities can work within the standard K-3 math curriculum. The focus will be on Stages Math: Number Sense, a comprehensive set of accessible software activities that builds number sense skills and documents learner progress. Examples will show how the activities connect to the curriculum and can be customized for a wide range of abilities. A discussion of math software features appropriate for students with disabilities will help teachers evaluate software.
